About the artist

Born near Manchester, UK, in 1949, but grew up in Coventry and attended Coventry College of Art and then took degree in Fine Art at Cardiff College of Art in 1968-71.

Post-graduate teaching degree from University of London Institute of Education, resulting in teaching general art and printmaking in London Schools until late 1975.

Moved to the Cotswolds in 1976 to set up own print studio at Fosseway House Workshops. Stayed there until 1983, first moving to Stroud , then to Malvern and finally to Leominster in Herefordshire.

Made living from printing and editioning original limited edition screenprints of my own design publishing over 200 editions since starting. Mainly self publishing but prints have been published also by Christie's Contemporary Art. Also produce occasional watercolours. See Stockists.

Built own workshop which is now set up to produce high quality digital inkjet or giclee prints. Also frame much of my own work to conservation quality standards.

Since 1995 helped set up and was a director of The Lion Gallery in Leominster for over 8 years.

Also lecturer in Business Studies & Professional Practice for Design Crafts, Artist Blacksmiths, Photography and Illustration BA degree students at Hereford College of Arts .

Member of the Gloucestershire Guild of Craftsmen since 1983, trustee since 2006.

Taken part in over one hundred exhibitions in the UK and abroad. Work available through many outlets in the UK. Work currently touring in the 6th British International Miniature Print Exhibition. (Print illustrated from the 4th International Miniature Print show in Autumn 2000 issue of Printmaking Today.)

Contributed chapter on costing for craftspeople in 'Second Steps' a book on setting in business for crafts graduates.

Currently live in Leominster with Vanessa, two daughters and assorted pets.
